Pakistan Girl, Are They Celebrate Valentine's Day?

In original tittle "Valentine's Day in Pakistan"

Pakistan is an Islamic country. In Islam, there is nothing wrong with a husband expressing love to his wife and wishing a durable and everlasting marital relationship. As far as singles are concerned, Islam does not allow such type of relationship or gift exchange.

In Pakistan, Valentine's Day was not celebrated until the onset of 21st century. Recent Dictatorial regime came up with the idea of 'enlightened moderation'. In the context of this ideology, "he introduced many revolutionary reforms freeing women from the unjust and cruel clutches of traditional degradation and religious fundamentalism". He passed women's rights bill, allowed the wholehearted celebration of Basant, allowed the maintenance of underground clubs and started celebrating non-Muslim rituals. Valentine's Day is one of them.

Boys and girls throughout the country wish their Valentine and exchange red roses and Valentine cards. Major picnic resorts in Pakistan also make special arrangements for Valentine's Day. They decorate their hotels and Restaurants with red colored lightening, roses, curtains and other stuff. Some offer special discounts and others arrange special Valentine's Day meals. However, Valentine couples prefer to do all activities secretly. You can see no Valentine dates roaming openly in streets and Malls joining hands and making love with each other.

To tell you the truth, Valentine's Day is not celebrated as a national holiday in Pakistan. Despite this fact, religious organizations condemn the celebration of this day in Pakistan. In 2004, a religious organization demanded ban on the celebration of this "sex based" event (Corset for a sexual purpose). However, many international flower service providers provide Valentine's Day flower delivery throughout Pakistan.

Rose, chocolate are requisite on Valentine's Day Besides, other gifts like discount ugg, necktie are also OK. Since this day is not celebrated in the true sense modifications should be made to keep pace with the modern world. The day should be renamed as "Husband and Wife's Day" or "the Life partner's day" so that who fall in this category may celebrate this day wholeheartedly. In this way, the flower ,tourism and hotel industry in Pakistan would also be able to make progress as per international standards.
